Off the Grid

Once a year I pick somewhere different and drop off the grid for two weeks of exploration.  The past three years I've made trips to Southeast Asia, spending two weeks each in Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam.  This fall I traveled to Bikaner, located in the northwest corner of Rajasthan, where I spent a week working on a photojournalism project for Plan International.  Before my project I spent two weeks backpacking through Rajasthan.  You can read stories from past trips at www.aftertheclose.tumblr.com.
